When I was studying abroad in Spain back in 1995, a few classmates and I were drinking a bottle of cheap, syrupy Spanish red wine that we purchased for the equivalent of US $2 and happened upon the conversation of what superpowers we would most like to have.
In fact, if we had to choose, we could only select one power. I thought of this again today because I wished for one of them just yesterday…anyway, here are the ones I can remember we discussed. Let me know if you have any others you would add to the list!
- The ability to speak & understand every language fluently
- To be able to see into the future
- To be able to live forever
- Super strength
- Ability to fly
- To be able to read people’s minds
- Ability to stop time, and then re-start it
- Time travel
- Teleportation
- Super-speed
Of course this was before Heroes (the TV show) and the recent movie studio love affair with all things superhero, but maybe I will develop some of these powers into a comic book, TV show or a movie.
