Top 10 Superpowers I would like to have..

Filed under: Uncategorized — busterbuster @ 2:04 pm

When I was studying abroad in Spain back in 1995, a few classmates and I were drinking a bottle of cheap, syrupy Spanish red wine that we purchased for the equivalent of US $2 and happened upon the conversation of what superpowers we would most like to have.

In fact, if we had to choose, we could only select one power.  I thought of this again today because I wished for one of them just yesterday…anyway, here are the ones I can remember we discussed.  Let me know if you have any others you would add to the list!

  1. The ability to speak & understand every language fluently
  2. To be able to see into the future
  3. To be able to live forever
  4. Super strength
  5. Ability to fly
  6. To be able to read people’s minds
  7. Ability to stop time, and then re-start it
  8. Time travel
  9. Teleportation
  10. Super-speed

Of course this was before Heroes (the TV show) and the recent movie studio love affair with all things superhero, but maybe I will develop some of these powers into a comic book, TV show or a movie.

Any other  superpowers people have wished for?

Great quote from Stephen Colbert on the economy

I was just watching the opening of the January 6th, 2009 episode of the Colbert Report and had to share this quote:

He has a Peabody, or two (click for the clip of the quote)

He has a Peabody, or two (click for the clip of the quote)

“The economy has me terrified.
It doesn’t seem to get any better no matter how much money we give to the people who screwed it up”

Nice. Check out my blog post on the $700billion bailout update for an even more depressing update on where our hard earned tax dollars are going.
